On May 13, the 2025 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards announced its winners, with SM Supermalls China securing 3 Silver and 5 Bronze Stevie Awards among over 1,000 entries from the region.

"Powered by Nature, Powering the Future" Tour
In partnership with WWF, One Planet Foundation, and as Research Center, SM China hosted the Tour from July to October, 2024. Centered on renewable energy, it featured nature-inspired installations and works by domestic and international artists, co-created with 78 NGOs and community partners. The Tour drew 8.835 million visitors and 68 million media impressions, amplifying eco-consciousness.
Summer Fun Sports Festival
In summer 2024, SM City Jinjiang leveraged youth-driven insights and cross-industry integration to innovate experiences. Tailored to ACGN, sports, and pet niches, the campaign drove a 114.17% YoY increase in member sales, 12.29% footfall growth, and nearly 4.8 million online engagements within a month, highlighting its identity as a "youth vitality hub."
Anime Party
Mid-to-late July 2024 saw SM City Tianjin expanding into anime culture by partnering with premium comic conventions and music festivals. It launched a 1,000-sqm immersive anime zone and China's first interdimensional nighttime music carnival, attracting 774.9K visitors and over 500 million media exposures, activating young consumer market.
Rainforest Retreat: Adventure Awaits
During summer 2024, SM City Chongqing collaborated with Chongqing's first immersive rainforest reptile museum, "Deserted Valley," and outdoor club WOAH CAMP to create an urban rainforest sanctuary. Combining commerce with eco-conservation, it became a space for urban-nature dialogue, achieving 40% footfall growth, 30% membership increase, and over 3 million media mentions.
WONGDERFUL!
In late September 2024, WONG STREET launched with a week-long omnichannel marketing campaign to engage target audiences, resulting in over 2 million visits, 79.4 million media views, and solidifying its reputation as a "culinary and lifestyle destination," boosting SM Xiamen's market recognition as a flagship complex.
So Stylish
In Q3 2024, SM City Zibo united Gen Z niches - street experimentalists, multiverse creators, small families in innovative lifestyle for a "Zibo-style" cultural event. Through O2O experiences and citywide outreach, it attracted 4 million visitors and 10.88 million media reaches, achieving dual breakthroughs in footfall and brand exposure.
Let's Head Into 2025 Together
By year-end 2024, SM City Yangzhou drew inspiration from the Grand Canal to host 12 New Year celebrations including drone light shows and intangible cultural heritage markets. The series attracted over 300K participants, recruited 15K new members, and secured 40.2 million impressions, igniting New Year's fervor in eastern Yangzhou.
